Welcome to the next Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #369!  This week the challenge is to use a Great Outdoors theme on your card!  Our sponsor this week and the prize is from My Grafico. All of the details, including prize information, can be found on the Cupcakes Inspiration blog.  I hope you'll be able to play along!

CIC369 Jen Carter

What a fun card to make!  I used several digital items from My Grafico on my card, starting with that adorable camper!  The banner was also from that same Cool Caravans set and I changed the background to yellow which is a nice option when using digital images.  The rest of the card was created with patterned paper Jillibean Soup.  The top part was embossed with a stitched die.

I hope you'll join us this week for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #369!  Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful

**Be sure to check up my updated list of stamps & dies for sale!  Click here for a complete list or click on the tab under my blog header that says Stamps for Sale!  Thanks!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying this summer day!  I'm (sadly) counting down to going back to work...next Monday I start up again in the school office.  I love my job but I wouldn't complain about another few weeks of summer break, lol!  And here I am talking about summer and today's card is one for Fall!  Now I'm definitely not ready for that yet! :)

Jen Carter Corner Lg Pumpkin 1

This card was made with a few dies recently released from Frantic Stamper.  I used the Large Pumpkin Die and colored it with my zig markers. I love the details that are cut into the die cut!  I placed the pumpkin on top of a piece of patterned paper that I die cut using one of the Stitched Corner-Cut Tags.  I used a few pieces of patterned paper to create the sentiment and added some enamel dots to finish it off.

Thanks for joining me today!  Hope you have a wonderful summer day!

Jen Carter Happy Bday Border 1 wm

I really like this new Happy Birthday Border die!  The places that are "open" on the words are just so unique!  Here I used it at the bottom of my card as the border.  To create my scene I used the largest of the Stitched Mats Rectangle Dies to create the stitched border and then a smaller rectangle die to cut out the inside.  I die cut various sizes of balloons from the Balloon Dies die set & the string with the Balloon Strings Die.

Jen Carter Happy Bday Border Seasonal Stars Masculine 1 wm

For this last card I took a masculine approach and used the Happy Birthday Border die stacked on top of each other.  I die cut using various papers, the bottom patterned paper is from the Tribal Chic Paper Pack.  I also die cut three stars from the Seasonal Stars die set, also from patterned paper from the Tribal Chic Paper Pack.

Lil' Inker Designs July Release: Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs Release!  All of the products being shown today are currently available in the Lil' Inker Designs store!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from the Lil' Inker Store Blog! There are three $15 gift certificates to the LID store up for grabs, so the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning!

Today, I have two cards to share.

Jen Carter Alpha Gem Little Things Prayers 1 wm

I used several new products on this card.  I started by using the new Alphabet Gem Dies (that coordinate with the cool Alphabet Gem Stamps that were previously released!).  I wanted to use them in a different way, so instead of stamping the images on to the die cuts, I just left them as is.  I liked the artsy feel it gave the letters.  The little bird & the sentiment are stamped from the The Little Things Stamp set that is adorable!  I love the fonts for the sentiments.  The bird, bird's wing & the gold striped leaf are die cut with the coordinating The Little Things Die set.  The clouds are from the Cut it Out Clouds & Accessories Die set.

Jen Carter Fringe Scallop Circles Doodled Daisies Sunflower 6 wm

For my second card today I used the fun new Fringe Scalloped Circle Dies to make sunflowers!  I love that these are dual scalloped!  I die cut the center from my wood paper (that had been die cut with one of the Stitched Mats Rectangles dies) and the yellow patterned paper with the same sized circle die.  The wood mat is popped up with dimensionals.  I die cut the smallest circle from the Fringe Scalloped Circle Dies to make the inside part of the flower.  For the stem I used the Sketched Floral Die Set & for the leaves I used the Awesome Blossom Dies.

That sentiment with the cute font is from the Doodled Daisies Stamp set!  I love the fun sentiments in this set!

Lil' Inker Designs July Release: Day 1

Hello!  It's time for a new Lil' Inker Designs release! The new products are already available in the  Lil' Inker Designs store!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Heather Hoffman's blog! There are three $15 gift certificates to the LID store up for grabs, so the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning!  Today, I have 2 cards to share.

Jen Carter Doodled Daisies Everyday Words 2 wm

This first card is made using a WONDERFUL new set that I have fallen in love with called Doodled Daisies Stamps and they coordinate with the Doodled Daisies Dies.  Honestly, I had to stop myself from using this set on every single card!  Not only are there these beautiful doodled flowers but some gorgeous sentiments (which I'll share later on this week & you can see in the image of the sets at the end of this post).  To color these flowers I used a mixture of watercolor paints and distress inks (used as watercolors) on top of white embossing.

Jen Carter Doodled Daisies Everyday Words Closeup 1

The large "Thanks" is another new die, this one from the Everyday Words Tag Dies set.

Jen Carter Boxed So Happy Quilted Spirals Doodled Daisies 1 wm

For this card I used the Doodled Daisies Stamps and the Doodled Daisies Dies but in a very different way than I did on the first card.  To start this card I used the very cool new Quilted Stitched Spirals Die that stitched a fun, fun pattern into the patterned paper.

Jen Carter Boxed So Happy Quilted Spirals Doodled Daisies 2 wm

I used the new Boxed Up: So Happy for You die, cut in orange, and then layered the Doodled Daisies Stamps and the Doodled Daisies Dies on top.  This time for the flowers, I stamped the solid image with ink (on 2 of them) and then the coordinating detailed outline image on top in a darker ink.  For the turquoise flower I stamped the outline image onto colored cardstock.

All of the Lil' Inker products that I've used (and more!) are available to purchase right now in the Lil' Inker Designs store!  Your next stop on the blog hop is over to Angel Rivera's blog!

Thank you SO MUCH for joining me today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for more previews of the new products!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #368

Welcome to the next Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #368!  This week the theme is a fun color scheme! The sponsor & prize is from A Day for Daisies.

CIC368 Jen Carter

I started my card by diecutting the white panel with a Silly Stitched die after I had printed the image on to my cardstock.   The Hello at the top was die cut out of patterned paper.

CIC368 Jen Carter Closeup

The digital image I used from A Day for Daisies is called Chubby Flower Garden.  I colored the image using copic markers and used a colorless blender to add the dots.

The colors for this card were based on the above inspiration photo. I hope you'll join us this week for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #368!  Thanks for stopping by!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #367

Welcome to the next Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #367!  This week the challenge is to use a tropical theme on your card!  Our sponsor this week and the prize is from Your Next Stamp.  I hope you'll be able to play along!

CIC367 Jen Carter

I was inspired again by the cupcake image.  I started my card by die cutting the mat with a Center Point Chevron die (LOVE this die!!).   I stamped my pineapples from Concord & 9th, they matched the theme perfectly!

Now that sentiment...that lovely black "celebrate" is die cut is from Your Next Stamps called Fancy Celebrate die.  And the sentiment underneath is from a great mix & match stamp set, also from Your Next Stamp, called Whatnot Sentiments Set Four.  There are beautiful fonts and lots of options for sentiments!

Here is the challenge photo to provide inspiration for this challenge.

I hope you'll join us this week at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #367!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #366

Welcome to the next Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #366!  This week it is a beautiful summery color scheme!

And here's my card.

CIC366 Jen Carter

Using the colors for the challenge, I also let the cupcake decorations inspire me but instead of using a flamingo I used this adorable Stork Stuff die!  The white card mat was cut using one of my favorite cover plate dies called Dotted Scallops.  That amazing sentiment is from Latina Crafter called You.  I love that oversized You!  I embossed it on a vellum piece that had been die cut using one of the Stitched Mats: Side Stitched Rectangles dies.

All of the details on this challenge can be found on the Cupcake Inspirations blog!  I hope you'll join us for this week's color challenge!  Have a great day!

I have a simple card to share with you today!  I started with a piece of patterned paper (My Mind's Eye On Trend 2) and then used one of the Stitched Mats: Side Stitched Rectangles dies to cut the stitches into the outside of the card.  I attached the new Welcome Word Die to the bottom corner and then added some sequins.  That was it!  Super simple!

Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July!  I always LOVE going to see the fireworks!  Last night our little town had their fireworks show and they were spectacular!  They put on a really good show for a small town!  Happy birthday America!

Jen Carter USA Icons Front

This seemed like an appropriate card to share today!  To create my stitched mat I used the Frantic Stamper Elementals #1 die.  I die cut the USA words & the USA from the Patriotic Icons die set.  I love the dies in this set and the size of them too!

Jen Carter USA Icons 6

Thanks for joining me today!  I hope you have a wonderful Independence Day!
